PADEL AT PRESTON

We now have 11 members signed up to play. As we need 4 players per game there is sometimes a problem in getting enough for a game

Everyone who has tried it has thoroughly enjoyed the game. It is far less strenuous than Squash, Badminton and Tennis, especially at our level. If you have a pair of Court shoes why don't you come along and give it a try, you might surprise yourself.

The only charge is the Court fee, £11 for 90 minutes, and £3 if you need to hire a racket. Everyone is very welcome to have a trial session

Padel is a fast-growing racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash. It’s played in doubles on an enclosed court smaller than the size of a tennis court, with solid, stringless rackets and a low-compression ball. The walls are in play, making for exciting rallies and clever tactics.

Padel is easy to learn, less physically demanding than tennis, and highly sociable – perfect for all ages and abilities. Come and give it a try!

Here is a video showing how it is played
