We are the Art Group, a number of sociable and enthusiastic amateur artists within u3a who come together on the first, second and third Thursdays each month in Mawdesley Village Hall, 10 am to 12 noon, to paint or draw.

The Art Group will once again be holding an exhibition of its work in the Annexe Room on Wednesday 8th October,10am to 12noon. We use a variety of media to create our pictures, and we each bring a piece of artwork to work on whilst we enjoy each other’s company.

Although we’re not a group that provides formal tuition in painting and drawing skills, we are a group of like-minded artists who are more than willing to share our knowledge and experience to support other members, whatever their level of accomplishment.

We would particularly welcome new members to our group who feel that they would like to spend a couple of hours three times a month practising their artistic creativity.

Whatever your level of skill, from absolute beginner to the more experienced artist, and whatever your preferred medium, this could be just the group you are looking for.
