This is the new name of the Family History Research group. This is to emphasise that we are not just genealogy research but social and local history as well as family history. Both web pages will be live for a short while until people are familiar with the new name.

Our next meeting is on the 27^th August and is a mixed bag of presentations. These will include a talk by Chris Sutton about church archives; Edwina’s story is about a WW1 embroidery project and how her family was affected by the war and Lyn's contribution will reveal family secrets.

Our group meets on the fourth THURSDAY of each month from 10.00 a.m. to 12 noon at Mawdesley Village Hall. £2 per session.

If you enjoy hearing stories about the lives of ordinary people and where they lived, this is the group for you.
