The next Politics Group will meet on Monday 13th April at 1.30 in the lounge at Mawdesley Village Hall.
New members are particularly welcome.

Slight change of format this week

Two shorter subjects and then on to Current Affairs, so please bring some topics of interest.

1 ) As part of the meeting, Tony Richardson will offer some thoughts for discussion based on the book A Different Kind of Power by Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand, 2017 to 2023.

This is intended to occupy only a limited part of the meeting, leaving plenty of time for other topics.

2)  Ray will introduce the second topic on the result of the latest polling figures for voting intentions at the next General Election.

Please would all group members bring with them (if they have one) a smart phone or tablet. They will need to look at electoralcalculus.co.uk before the meeting.

Even better the subs will still only be £1

(This is less a political inside story full of gossip than a reflective memoir about character, values, and the kind of leader Ardern believes the world needs. It will appeal most to readers interested in modern politics, leadership, and an intimate account of life at the top rather than a detailed policy memoir.)
