Consciousness

For centuries, philosophers from Plato to Descartes wrestled with whether human awareness stems from an immortal soul or physical matter. Today, neuroscientists and philosophers use cutting-edge brain imaging and computational models to tackle the same profound puzzle: how physical neural signals generate subjective experience—what thinker David Chalmers famously dubbed the "Hard Problem of Consciousness".

John will cover the philosophical history of this topic and Stephen will then tell us all about the latest scientific views

Regards,   John

Somethings for you to think about from John, links to the articles are below

Philosophy is a fascinating and thought-provoking subject to study. It sets out to examine ideas behind why we exist and how we should best morally lead our lives. Many of the topics include aspects of ethics, politics, divinity and art that prove a basis for much interesting discussion. We refer to concepts of philosophical writers from Aristotle to John Locke. It does improve your general awareness and method of thinking about important matters.
