Our friendly Circle Dancing group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in Mawdesley Village Hall. We draw on dances from around the world and take a relaxed approach – there is no such thing as a mistake, just a variation on the steps, which tend to be quite repetitive and easy to learn.
If you would like to take some gentle exercise and enjoy dancing in a group, why not come along to one of our sessions? We always explain every dance each time, so no previous experience is needed.
Sessions run from 1.30 – 3.00pm in the Mawdesley Village Hall Annex (entry at the side of the building)
Our next session will be Tuesday 20 January 2026. All are welcome – just come along and try it.

Dancing in a circle is an ancient tradition common to many cultures for marking special occasions, strengthening community and encouraging togetherness. Modern circle dance draws on the rich and diverse traditional dances of many countries, including the Balkans, Greece, Israel, Russia, and France. There are links on this page to some different types of dances to give you some idea of what we do but the best thing is to come along and try it.
